With much interest in both Dustin Brown and Ryan Murray, GM Bachul has had productive talks about both moving on. "It is part of the game, not an easy part, but you have to realize it is a business." Brown said outside the Rats practice facility. "I am expecting a move, which happens, but since the team is not performing, you see the writing on the wall. Too bad this writing looks like poo being spread all over the wall." The Rats resident jokester continued.
That said, in a quick discussion the Rats moved on from Jakob Silfverberg and Ilya Kovalchuk in an acquisition of Mikael Grandlund and Jimmy Vesey.
"Actually Tom just started spitballing and put it on the table. Looking at the future of our team it just made sense." Rats GM Bachul stated. Kovalchuk was pretty excited as well.
"To be back in the playoff hunt is excellent for me. Things are getting pretty rough in Radnor, so the change will be good for me. Where is Gander?"
The Rats continue their march to the end of the season with more deals on the way.
It was just announced the Dustin Brown and Ryan Murray have both been moved to the Jaguars for Cam Atkinson and prospect Anton Krasotkin. "Shortly after the trade with the Slapshots Mike and I consumated the Brown deal. We had been working on it for a while and we are happy to have it completed."
